Labour Force Survey

A key source of information on what is happening in Canada's labour market is Statistics Canada's Labour Force Survey. The data from the survey is available in various forms. Summary data from the Labour Force Survey is available free of charge, but you will have to pay for more detailed data.

The Survey of Employment, Payrolls and Hours is Canada's only source of detailed information on the total number of paid employees, payrolls and hours worked, at industrial, provincial and territorial levels.

    Get detailed information on the total number of paid employees, earnings and hours worked by business size, industry, province and territory. Economic indicators are also included.

Survey of Labour and Income Dynamics

The Survey of Labour and Income Dynamics (SLID) complements traditional survey data on labour market activity and income with an additional dimension - the changes experienced by individuals over time.
