Year of the Entrepreneur: Better informed?
During 2011, the Year of the Entrepreneur, we were able to provide you with a wide variety of blogs on items of interest to the small business world. In response, you voiced your opinions and concerns as entrepreneurs and employers. Topics that affected you ranged from information on filing Records of Employment for your employees to ideas on how holding exit interviews could help improve your hiring processes.
Through our blog we shared events geared towards helping you grow your business. Of interest were seminars and webinars that provided information on financing programs and doing business with the Government of Canada, as well as posts on creating a business plan and other topics that could help you achieve growth. This year, we will continue to offer information on ways to expand your business and how to overcome associated challenges.
Posts on new legislation and regulations to help you manage your business were well-received, as were tips on procedures such as obtaining a patent. Social media continues to be an important marketing tool for entrepreneurs, so topics like the usefulness of mobile websites also piqued your curiosity. What changes in technology will the new year bring to your small business?
Financing your business is often an ongoing project, so keep coming back for more on funding and other programs that could make a difference. Managing your finances and getting money for your business are evergreen topics that we will continue to address.
Now we face 2012, ready for all that this new year has in store for Canadian businesses and entrepreneurs. We would like to thank the many guest bloggers who shared their insights with us during the course of the past twelve months on a range of timely and practical topics. We also value the comments many of you have left on our blog.
May the year to come bring new ideas and opportunities to all of us.
