New agreement increases financial support for young entrepreneurs

May 27, 2010 • Financing

Are you between the ages of 18 and 34 and looking to finance your business start-up? If so, read this.

The Business Development Bank of Canada and the Canadian Youth Business Foundation recently renewed their partnership and have increased the total financing available for young prospective business owners.

Under the new agreement, if the Canadian Youth Business Foundation approves you for financing, the Business Development Bank of Canada could double that amount. As Canadian Youth Business Foundation provides up to $15,000 to young entrepreneurs to start their businesses, this means that you could be eligible for up to $45,000 in financing to help you get started.

If you're looking for more information on this new agreement, check out the Business Development Bank of Canada's News Release from May 18, 2010 or visit the Canadian Youth Business Foundation's website.

I think this is a great idea!
It’s an extra boost of encouragement for those young-minded educated students!
A proposal to believe in youths who are goal oriented after years of Secondary and Post-Secondary Education.
I can’t wait to find out more information about this program!

For a successful young business entrepreneur it is always the norm that they get support from their families due to the initial finances involved. Many of today’s best-known entrepreneurs started their business when they were very young. For example Bill Gates, Richard Branson, and Frank and Dan Carney who started Pizza Hut all started out young. Some entrepreneurs leave their entrepreneurial stuff behind with just the first few failures at work but they keenly forget that these are just the stepping-stones for the path to success.
