• All program participants are required to first undergo a risk assessment.
• Eligible goods of approved companies which are transported by approved carriers using registered drivers are cleared into Canada or the United States with greater speed.
• Trade data declarations and verifications are done later, away from the border.
• Drivers can use dedicated FAST lanes established at major border crossings for faster and more efficient border clearance.
