CYBF Newcomer Program

Canadian Youth Business Foundation

Applies to: All of Canada

Are you a new immigrant to Canada between the ages of 18 and 34 years, with dreams of being your own boss? The CYBF offers business start-up loans of up to $15,000.

To apply, you need:

A business plan
A letter from your bank confirming your account status
Reference letters

The loan is repayable over 3–5 years, with interest-only payments in the first year.

You might also be able to participate in CYBF's Cultural Mentoring Program, which matches newcomer entrepreneurs with a mentor to help them learn about doing business in Canada.
