GeoConnections Program

Government of Canada - Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN)

Applies to: All of Canada

If you are creating a geographical location database using digital maps or satellite images, you could get up to 50% of the costs of the project funded by this program.

To obtain the funding, you must provide the use of the information contained in your database to evolve and expand the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI). Your database must contain information that:

  • Helps decision-makers answer questions on public health, safety and security, the environment and Aboriginal communities.
  • Adds to the technological growth of the CGDI.

The program ends in March 2011.
