Canadian Trade-Marks Database

Industry Canada - Canadian Intellectual Property Office

Applies to: All of Canada

Before you apply for a trade-mark, search the Canadian Trade-Marks Database to find out:

  • if your mark qualifies as a trade-mark;
  • if your name, symbol or design has already been registered by another business.

Because there are many ways to search the database and finding what you are looking for may be difficult, be sure to read the Trade-Marks Database Tutorial before you start your search.
