Domestic Dairy Product Innovation Program

Canadian Dairy Commission

Applies to: All of Canada

You could get a higher milk quota to develop and produce innovative dairy products (excluding butter). You need to create a product that:

Is wholly or essentially made with milk
Contains no imported dairy ingredients
Is new to the Canadian market
Creates a demand for Canadian milk or reduces the import of dairy products

You must be a licensed processor or have applied for a licence to the provincial authorities. You could get this special milk allocation for up to three years.
