Advanced Rulings for Tariff Classification

Applies to: All of Canada

You can formally request this service to confirm which tariffs will apply to the goods you plan to import and how much customs duty you will need to pay. The service also helps you obtain the 10-digit tariff classification number for your goods.

Apply at least 120 days before you import. You'll receive a written statement that you can quote in your customs paperwork.
