Feature Film Distribution Assistance

Government of Nova Scotia - Film Nova Scotia

Applies to: Nova Scotia

You may be eligible for a repayable advance for the theatrical release of your dramatic, documentary or animated feature film up to a maximum of $50,000. To be eligible, your film must:

Have a marketing budget of over $150,000
Have an approved Canadian distributor
Be not less than 70 minutes long
Have a Film Nova Scotia equity investment
Be owned and controlled by the producer applicant (some exceptions may apply)

You have to repay these funds.
