Canadian Agricultural Loans Act Program
Applies to: All of Canada
If you are a Canadian farmer, you could receive up to $500,000 to buy land and to build or improve farm buildings, or up to $350,000 for other supplies for your farm. You need to:
- grow grains or flowers, plants, vegetables or fruit
- raise farm animals, animals that produce fur, such as mink or other animals like emu
- produce eggs, milk, honey, maple syrup, tobacco, fibre, wood from your woodlot, or crops like hay to feed farm animals
- provide a business plan, if you are a new farmer
- pay a registration fee
