Industrial Design Tax Credit

This tax credit helps your Quebec-based business carry out industrial design to improve product competiveness.

For in-house design activities, a maximum of $60,000 in wage costs are eligible. For external activities, 65% of the fees or royalties are eligible.

To be eligible for this tax measure, you must:

  • have a gross income of at least $150,000
  • have industrial design activities carried out by an in-house or external designer who has a Recognition of Qualification from the ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation
  • generate economic spinoffs in Quebec

Other conditions apply.
