Settlement Investment Corporation

Are you an established or budding Aboriginal entrepreneur located in an Alberta Métis settlement? You may be eligible for direct business loans of up to $150,000 for commercial enterprises and $75,000 for agricultural purposes. You can also access services such as business plan development and training.

To apply, you need to:

  • be a resident Métis settler, or a partnership or a corporation in which at least 51% is owned by a resident Métis settler
  • have your head office in the Province of Alberta (business activities may be undertaken both on and off the settlements, and need not be limited to the Province of Alberta)
  • have a minimum equity of 10%
