Hybrid/Electric Truck Incentive Program

Applies to: Nova Scotia

Apply for financial help to buy a fuel-efficient hybrid garbage or delivery truck for your business.

A new hybrid truck offers you:

• up to 50% less diesel use
• lower maintenance costs
• extended brake life
• less pollution and noise

Through this program, you could be eligible for:

• 50% of the incremental costs up to $15,000 for a medium or heavy duty hybrid electric/hybrid hydraulic delivery truck; or
• the incremental cost up to $50,000 for a heavy duty hybrid electric/hybrid hydraulic garbage truck.

Application deadline is August 31, 2010 and vehicles must be on the road by January 2011. Other conditions apply.
