Housing Internship Initiative for First Nations and Inuit Youth

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation - CMHC

Applies to: All of Canada

Do you operate an Aboriginal business in the housing industry? If so, you could be eligible to receive up to $10,000 in wage subsidies to hire and train First Nations or Inuit youths between the ages of 15 and 30.

In order to qualify, you must:

Offer housing-related employment such as construction, renovation, administration, finance or property management
Hire the trainee for at least 12 weeks
Operate your business on a First Nations reserve or be willing to cover the youth's travel and accommodation costs

Other conditions apply.
